DU, Ying, born in October 1952, graduated with a bechalor degree from the Department of Economics at Renmin University of China in 1982 and became a researcher at the Institute of Agricultural Economy of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in that same year. Since 1985, he had been a research assistant, section director, associate researcher and deputy director successively of the Rural Development Research Center of State Council. From October 1990, Mr. Du was appointed as deputy director of Agricultural Economic Research Center, head of Rural Reform Pilot District Office at China’s Ministry of Agriculture and was promoted to full researcher. In may 1997, he started directing the Department of Policy, Reform and Law and Department of Industrial Policy and Law at Ministry of Agriculture. He joined the National Commission of Development and Reform as director of its Department of Rural Economy in November 2001. Apart from his professional experiences, Mr. Du is also active engaged in reseach activities. He is an adjunct professor at Remin University of China, China Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University, an associate director of Soft Science Committee at the Ministry of Agriculture, a standing director of Research Council of China Agricultural Ecnomy, of Rural Finance Association, of China Foundation of Science and Education, editor of the journal of China Rural Economy. Since August 2005, he has been a associate director of National Commission of Development and Reform.
 
FAN, Hengshan, born in Ovtober 1957 at the City of Tianmen in Hubei province, was accepted into the Department of Economics of Wuhan University in 1977 and graduated with Bachelor and Master degrees consecutively. He received Ph.D. in Econmics from the Department of Economics at Renmin University of China that he entered in 1984. Dr. Fan joined National Commission of Economic System Reform in 1988 where he worked on economic reform plan design and urban reform pilot work. He was appointed as director of the Department of Economic System Reform at the National Commission of Development and Reform became director of Department of Regional Economy in June 2006. Dr. Fan was also an adjunct professor of some universities and research institutes as well as an senior counselor of many academic associations.
 
ZHANG, Xiusheng, born in December 1951 at Shanxin County, Shandong province, graduated from the Department of Economics of Wuhan University in 1975 and started his academic career since then. He was promoted to associate and full professor in 1991 and 1996 respectively. He acted the associate dean of School of Economics and Management, associate director of the Institute for Development Studies at Wuhan University, associate president of Hubei Association of Economics. Prof. Zhang’s reseach focuses on political economy of Chinese economic reform, regional economic development and rural economy in China.
 
ZHAO, Xibin, born in December 1948 at the city of E’Zhou in Hubei province, entered the Department of Economics of Wuhan University in 1972. For many years since 1981, he has been in principal charge of management study programs, MBA education as well as graduate school administration at Wuhan University. In 1993, he cooperated with the Faculties of Business administration at Université Laval on project research in Canada and visited Osaka Univerisity and Waseda University in Japan in 2001. Prof. Zhao’s research focues on enterprise management and industrial organization.
 
QIU, Lisheng, born in November 1954 in Jiujiang, Jiangxi province, entered Renmin University of China in 1979. He received his PhD in Economics from Wuhan University in 1993 and is currently a senior counselor of many academic organizations. As an political economist, Prof. Qiu was a exchange scholar at Soka University in Japan.
 
YE, Yonggang, born in August 1955 at Wuhan, is a professor in financial economics with strength in international finance and financial engineering. As a counselor of many financial agencies and research institutes, he published extensively on foreign exchange, financial derivatives and fixed income securities.
 
ZHANG, Ping, born in October 1957, received bechalor degree in political science in 1982 and PhD in economics in 2006. As a professor with expertise in energy use and industrial development, Dr. Zhang cooperated with many local and national power companies on their training work and project research.
 
Wu Chuanqing, born in 1967, received PhD in Wuhan University, once went to the most famous universities of Taiwan as visiting scholar, is a professor of regional economics. He is Executive Director of the Regional Economic Research Center of Wuhan University. He gives many courses, including regional economics, regional economic theory and regional economics marketing, for undergraduate and postgraduate students. He has published 9 books and over 100 papers. He also won the Third Prize of the Chinese Education Ministry’s Excellent Achievement and many other prizes.
 
GUO, Xibao, born in October 1954 at Wuxue in Hubei province, received his PhD in economics from Wuhan University in 1992. Prof Guo is currently director of the Center for Economic Development Research at Wuhan University (Ministry of Education Project of Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences), the associate director of Academic Council of Center for Central China Economic Development Research at Nanchang University, as well as the leading expert of other prestigeous reseach organizations. Having been to Harvard University, Chicago University, University of California, Davis in the United States and University of Kent in the U.K. as a visiting scholar, he published widely in development economics and agricultural economics and received many prestigeous grants and awards for his reseach work.

ZHOU, Yezhong, born in August 1963 at Wugang in Hunan province, is a senior professor of law and associate dean of the graduate school at Wuhan University. He is the member of the Review Team in Law of State Council Degree Committee, a member of the Guiding Committee of Teaching in Law at Ministry of Education and is actively involved in reseach community activities and social services. Prof Zhou also received many prestigeous awards including Bao Steel Outstanding Teachers, National Top Ten Youth Legal Experts. His research focuses on legislation and constitution.
 
PAN, Min, born in January 1966, received PhD in economics from Kobe University in Japan and completed postdoctoral training at Wuhan University in 2003. He was selected as Outstanding Talent of New Century administered by the Ministry of Education. Prof. Pan’s research focuses on financial economics and financial governance.
 
WANG, Zhan received PhD in French Literature from Wuhan University and PhD in Social Economics from Universite Lumiere-Lyon II in France. He has been actively involved in international cooperation projects including “international cooperation and technological transfer” funded by French Academy of Sciences and “industrial clustering in Asia” funded by European Union. Prof Wang’s reseach area is economic siciology of regional development and French multinational corporations.
