GU, Shengzu

  Prof. of Economics, Supervisor of Ph.D Candidates, Vice-chairman of the 13th CPPCC, Vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Democratic Construction Association Central Committee

  Prof. Gu’s research is focused on the urbanization, economic and social development, Industrial Innovation, Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, Private Economy and Financial Innovation. He has presided over 10 research projects from the National Nature Science Foundation and the National Social Science Foundation, including some projects with great value. He has published over 40 academic papers in some important journals and over 10 monographs in some Chinese important publishing houses. He is the visiting professor of Harvard University of the US and the University of Duisburg-Essen of Germany. He is an active professor of some Japanese Universities. He has won the Sun Yefang Economics Prize of China and the Chinese Top 10 Excellent Young People Prize. He has once worked for the Chinese Ministry of Education and the National Nature Science Foundation as an academic leader. He is now the Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Chinese Soft-Science Academy.

XU, Ming

  Economist, Vice-Director of the National Grain and Material Reserves Bureau

  Director Xu has researched for the Macro economy, the international trade, the market system and the construction of the High-tech Zone of China for quite a long period of time. He has worked for the National Economic Commission, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Economic and Trade Office of the Chinese State Council, the National Economic and Trade Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, the City Government of Chongqing and the National Grain and Material Reserves Bureau. He is also the Chairman of the Chinese Food Industry Federation and the Academic Director of the Agricultural Technology Development Strategy Research Center of Tsinghua University. He was appointed the part-time Professor of our Institutes in the year of 2019.

ZHANG,

  Prof. of Economics, Supervisor of Ph.D Candidates

  Prof. Zhang’s teaching and research focus on the international trade and international investment. He has published over 50 academic papers in some important journals and over 10 monographs. He has presided over 12 research projects, including the project from the National Social Science Foundation. He was the visiting scholar of Chicago University of the US and has paid academic visits to Switzerland, France and Poland. He has obtained the Dong Furen Economics Prize of China, the Third Prizes of the Outstanding Social Science Academic Achievements of the Chinese International Relations Academy and the Outstanding Social Science Academic Achievements of Hubei Province. He is the Executive Member of the Council of the World Economics Academy of China and Vice- Director of the World Economics Academy Hubei Branch.

WU, Xinmu

  Prof. of Economics, Supervisor of Ph.D Candidates

  Prof. Wu’s research is focused on the Chinese reform and development, regional planning and regional sustainable development. He is the top professor for the key research project with great value for the Chinese Water Industry. He has published over 300 academic papers and 13 monographs. He has won the Science and Technology Prizes of Hubei Province and Wuhan City in Central China Area for 7 times. His many consultant reports have been accepted by the Central and Provincial Governments of China. He has once worked for the People’s Congress of Hubei Province and the Consultant Committees of Hubei Province and Wuhan City.

ZHOU, Yezhong

  Prof. of Laws, Supervisor of Ph.D Candidates, Vice Principal of Wuhan University

  Prof. Zhou’s research and teaching focus on the Constitution. He has completed over 30 research projects and published over 30 monographs and over 160 academic papers. He has won the National Teaching Achievement Prize, the Research Achievement Prize from the Chinese Ministry of Justice and the Excellent Social Science Achievement Prize of Hubei Province. He has won the Excellent Teacher Prizes of China from the Chinese Ministry of Education and some Chinese Education Foundations. He was the Top 10 Excellent Young Jurisprudent in the early years.

GUO, Xibao

  Prof. of Economics, Supervisor of Ph.D Candidates

  Prof. Guo is the Outstanding Expert of the Chinese State Council, the Chinese Ministry of Education and the Hubei Provincial Government. Prof. Guo was the director of the Economic Development Research Center of Wuhan University, the Top Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences honored by the Chinese Ministry of Education. He has honored the academic research visit to Harvard University of the US, Chicago University of the US and University of Kent in the UK. He has published over 20 monographs and over 70 academic papers in some important academic journals. He is an active visiting Prof. of Tsinghua University.

ZHANG, Xiusheng

  Prof. of Economics, Supervisor of Ph.D Candidates

  Prof. Zhang’s research focuses on the political economic theory of China, the Chinese economic reform, the regional economic theory and the rural economy in China. He has presided over 20 research projects, published over 30 monographs and almost 100 academic papers in academic journals and newspapers. He was the Vice-director of the Economics Academy of Hubei Province in Central China Area.

QIU, Lisheng

  Prof. of Economics, Supervisor of Ph.D Candidates

  Prof. Qiu’s research and teaching focus on the economic regulations and the institution theory, the Hi-tech industry and the financial economy, the regional industry’s sustainable development. He has presided over 30 research project, published over 20 monographs in the Chinese important publishing houses and over 70 academic papers in the Chinese key academic journals. As an exchange scholar, Prof. Qiu once worked for Soka University of Japan. He was honored academic visits to the universities of the US, Singapore, India, the South Africa and Malaysia. He is the Vice-general-secretary of the Economics Academy of Hubei Province in Central China Area.

WU, Chuanqing

  Prof. Wu’s research and teaching focus on the regional economics theory and application. He has presided over 40 research projects, including the projects from the Chinese Ministry of Education and the National Development and Reform Commission. He has published almost 100 academic papers and over 10 monographs. His consultative report has obtained the Third Prize of the Excellent Social Science Research Achievement of the Chinese Ministry of Education. His academic Paper has obtained the Third Prize of the Excellent Social Science Research Achievements of Wuhan City. He is also very active in some important academic organizations of China.
